Award-winning South African rapper Sjava, is on cloud nine after his hit song Umama has hit 7 million views on YouTube. The song was posted about 11 months ago and has set the bar high with its impressive views.
Sjava’s record label Ambitious Entertainment shared the exciting news on Instagram and congratulated him on his success – they thanked him for showing the music video much love.
The song was taken from his latest offering Umqhele which bagged an award at the prestigious South African Music Awards (SAMA) in the best Afro-pop category. His fans pleaded for more music videos from his album and hopefully, he will deliver again with the same passion as always.
Sjava has been a force to be reckoned with in the music space, he rose to fame on the drama series Zone 14 where he starred for 3 seasons – from there he ventured into the music industry and for want of a better term it was indeed his true calling. Today he is celebrated for his authenticity and his love for his Zulu tradition.
