Davies Mwila, a member of the Patriotic Front (PF) Central Committee, claims that thieves damaged his Toyota Land Cruiser.
The incident is thought to have happened on Thursday at about 9:00 a.m. at a gas station in Ndola’s Kansenshi neighborhood when Mr. Mwila and other PF members were traveling back to Kitwe after supporting Bowman Lusambo as he submitted his nomination for the Kabushi seat.
According to Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu, police were notified of a case of malicious damage involving the left and right rear side windows of a Toyota Land Cruiser with the license plate BCC 1910.
According to her, the estimated cost of the vehicle’s repairs is K17,000
“Brief facts are that on Thursday August 25th, 2022 around 09:00 hours the Mr Mwila went to Ndola Main Secondary School where nomination were taking place. After he finished doing what he followed, Mr Mwila and PF colleagues decided to go back to Kitwe. On their way they decided to stop at Total Filling Station near Kansenshi Cemetery to buy some drinks. Whilst at the filling station Mr Mwila saw a group of people who came at the filling station and one of them went to his vehicle and opened the door. That was how the Mr Mwila pulled back the door and locked it from inside,” she said.
She claimed that Mr. Mwila instructed Raphael Nakachinda to turn the car around since the mob that had attacked them had begun hurling things at it.
