UPND eastern province chairman survives attempted petrol bomb attack

UPND Eastern Province Chairman’s Family Johabie Mtonga has allegedly survived an attempted petrol bomb attack by unknown people around 02:30hrs of Saturday, 12th June 2021.

A visit at Johabie Mtonga’s residence in Hills View Township by Diamond TV found the burnt scenes, bottles, nails and some powder which was used in the act.

Imfaibaba Phiri, 49 a security guard and Agness Mtonga, 29 daughter of Johabie Mtonga has narrated to Diamond news how traumatic the night was after witnessing the alleged failed petrol bombing.

Meanwhile, Eastern Province Commissioner Geza Lungu has confirmed receiving the report but says he is waiting for first hand information from the officers who were on the ground on their investigations.
