Abel Mulenga of the UPND has successfully submitted his nomination for the by-election to the Parliament for the Kwacha Constituency.
The only person to date who has successfully completed his nomination paperwork is Mr. Mulenga.
If elected, Mr. MULENGA has promised to launch a significant infrastructure development initiative for the residents of Kwacha.
The Kwacha Parliamentary by-election, according to UPND Chairman for Elections GARRY NKOMBO, was a turning point for the ruling party.
According to Mr. NKOMBO, the people of Kwacha must support the ruling party because it has proven throughout its first year in office that it has their best interests at heart.
The incumbent party will win the seat, according to KABUSWE, the UPND’s campaign manager for the Kwacha Constituency.
Additionally, Movement Leadership Party candidate Professor OLIVER SILUMBE was unable to complete his nomination paperwork because he neglected to have the commissioner of oaths certify his voter’s card and NRC.
As a result of lacking a nomination certificate from his party, NDC candidate NICOLAS BWALYA delayed his nomination to today afternoon.
This afternoon’s PF filing is anticipated.
After JOSEPH MALANJI’s election was declared invalid by the constitutional court, the Kwacha Parliamentary seat became vacant.
