ZAMBEEF has donated hygiene stations, face masks, and other foodstuffs to Lusaka City Council to help towards the fight against Covid 19.
During the Handover Ceremony held at Civic Center today, Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa said the donations being given to the Council through the office of the Mayor have played a significant role in the fight against Covid 19.
Sampa said today’s donation will be be given to various places of Lusaka, with the help of Ward Councilors to ensure that those most in need are properly identified for their receipt.
“We know that in this industry of public facilities and donations accountability is cardinal and will therefore ensure that today’s donation is put to good use” he explained.
“We are targeting places such as Bauleni, Zingalume, Matero, Chawama, Munali, Mutendere and Kalingalinga” he added.
Sampa stated that the masks will be distributed to various schools throughout the city as schools open.
The items donated to the Council today include 2 hygiene stations, 200 reusable face masks, 210 liters of hand sanitizer, 200 kgs of sausage, 500 chickens, 60x 500 mls of long life milk, 120 X 500 mls of yoghurt, 120 X 500 mls of juice, 24 trays of eggs and 200 X 500 mls of lacto.
The Lusaka Mayor thanked Zambeef for remembering the people of the city and urged other stakeholders to follow suit.
