Zimbabwe through to the Cosafa Cup Final. The Zimbabwean goalkeeper Gorge Chigova was again the hero for Zimbabwe as he saved two penalties to hand Zimbabwe a ticket to the final of the COSAFA Cup where they are going to play against Zambia.
The game was dull throughout the 90 minutes although there were glimpses of magic from both sides. Zimbabwe’s talisman Khama Billiat tried some few antics but they couldn’t bring out the goals they were seeking. Lesotho, on the other hand, tried their best as they were playing against a good side Zimbabwe.
The game had to go to penalty shootouts as it finished nil all. The giant Warriors goalkeeper had to standout once again as he made two crucial saves that gave the Warriors the green light to book a final with Zambia in the COSAFA Cup final, which is to be played on Saturday.
It’s going to be a repeat of last year’s final where Zimbabwe emerged as the winners. It’s going to be one of those finals that will be filled with excitement as the Chipolopolo of Zambia will want to prove a point.
Zimbabwe has won the most titles with five wins, followed by Zambia and South Africa with four wins. So it will be interesting to see if Zimbabwe will win it for the 6th time or Zambia will catch up with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
