Zambia listed among the 17 countries in Africa sliding unto unsustainable debt. Zambia is among countries cited in the sub-Sahara of a high risk of sliding into unsustainable debt. The countries are also not using public resources prudently.
“These government is running their countries aground with debts, and the loans are obtained not for productive purposes, but to pay for armies, bloated civil servant wage bills, and grandiose luxury projects.”
“And the larger amounts of these monies are lost to corruption..”
The UN Conference on Trade says debts taken on by many African countries means that they can’t fulfill UN Sustainable Development Goals( SDGs) to improve the lives of their peoples.
