According to ZAMBIA’s justice minister MULAMBO HAIMBE, the manner the world has mourned Queen ELIZABETH the second has given ZAMBIA solace.
On behalf of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, Mr. HAIMBE attended the funeral in London for Queen Elizabeth.
The late monarch was buried today at Saint George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where her late husband, Prince PHILIP, was also laid to rest. The late monarch passed away on September 8, 2022.
The event, according to Mr. HAIMBE, was both solemn and a celebration of Queen ELIZABETH’s illustrious life.
And Mr. HAIMBE asserted that Zambia and the United Kingdom now have better ties as a result of King Charles the third’s invitation to President HICHILEMA to attend the burial.
This is in accordance with a statement made by SPEEDWELL MUPUCHI, First Secretary for Press at the Zambian High Commission in London.
