ZRA donates seized vehicles to Muchinga police

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has donated two seized motor vehicles to the Zambia Police Service Muchinga Division, Chinsali.

The donation is a fulfillment of the pledge made in August by ZRA Commissioner General Dr Kingsley Chanda during the commissioning of the modern complex in the provincial headquarters.

The two vehicles are the Toyota Kluger and Subaru B-Sport. ZRA Assistant Commissioner Nakonde Customs, Davis Mwanza, said at the handover ceremony that the tax authority will not stop doing similar donations in order to end smuggling.
Mr Mwanza said the donation to the police is also part of maintaining “the cordial relationship” that has existed between the two over the years.

Supt. Raphael Chirwa who is Division Motor Transport officer said the cars will help improve patrols.

In April this year, ZRA donated over 80 ceased vehicles to charitable organizations and the public sector.
