A 20-year-old Chisamba district grade 8 student was detained after he is accused of sexually abusing a three-year-old infant girl whom he enticed into the bush with a treat.
It’s thought that the suspect saw the girl playing with other toddlers and drew her away from her buddies.
David Chileshe, the commissioner of police for the Central Province, who confirmed the incident, claimed it happened yesterday at or around 11:00 in the Mayota community.
“A 20 year old grade eight pupil defiled a three- year-six months old girl of Mayota village in Chisamba District. The suspect found the victim playing with others toddlers in the bush, lured her with a sweet and defiled her. He was later caught red-handed by the victims elder brother who was looking for guineafowl eggs within the same bush. The victim sustained painful private parts. An arrest was made and the suspect will appear in court soon,” he said.
