Seven townships on the banks of the Kafue River will experience flash floods in three days, according to authorities in Kitwe.
Residents in the impacted neighborhoods along the banks of the Kafue River have been ordered to leave before it’s too late by Kitwe District Administrative Officer EVANS MAMBWE.
Meanwhile, a number of farmers’ farms in Salamano on the Kitwe Mufurila Road and the Chipata compound in Kitwe are under water.
Ten Salamano households, whose homes are currently under water, received tents from the government, Mr. MAMBWE told ZNBC News.
