President HAKAINDE HACHILEMA and President of the Africa Development Bank Group AKINWUMI ADESINA met behind closed doors.
Before the Africa Food Summit’s ceremonial inauguration today, the President met with Dr. ADESINA last night at the King Palace Hotel.
In order to build on the gains made thus far in attracting financial support and investment for agriculture in Africa in an effort to attain food security, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the International Fund for Agricultural Research (IFAR) are co-convening the Dakar TWO Summit.
President HICHILEMA is currently present at the Summit’s official opening along with other African Heads of State and Government, agricultural specialists, and leaders in global development.
At a roundtable later this afternoon, the President will discuss Zambia’s agricultural vision.
