A fourth child has perished in a well drop just a few weeks after a four-year-old from Lusaka drowned in one while playing with a buddy.
When playing with pals, Elvis Simukoko of Lusaka’s Kasupe neighborhood collapsed and drowned in a well.
According to the police, the incident happened at around 11:00 in the Kasupe neighborhood of Lusaka.
According to police spokesperson Danny Mwale, the child’s body has been found and brought to the mortuary at University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
“Brief facts of the incident are that the boy went to play with his friends and while playing, he fell in a well and drowned. He was retrieved and rushed to George Clinic where he was prounced dead upon arrival. The body has been deposited in University Teaching Hospitals Mortuary awaiting Postmortem and burial,” he said.
