Players will be chosen based on merit to make the final Under 17 AFCON team, according to Under 17 National team Coach IAN BAKALA.
According to BAKALA, the players must compete and establish themselves before being given a spot on the team.
He added in remarks given following a 10-day evaluation camp that the players from various provinces had done well and made the final 25.
Under 17 striker LINEKER MBESUMA added that the Under 17 AFCON would be a good start and that he is pleased to serve his country at the national team level.
MBESUMA stated that he wants to advance through the ranks and perhaps play at the senior level.
