The Bombay Drainage’s collapsed fence will be repaired by a contractor chosen by the Lusaka City Council.
The responsibility of maintaining the Bombay drainage has also been given to the contractor GM enterprises.
The development has been confirmed by Council Public Relations Manager CHOLA MWAMBA to ZNBC News.
According to Ms. MWAMBA, children who are gaining access to the water drainage are at risk because of the collapsed Bombay fence.
She claims that after the fence is finished, it will keep kids out of the drainage area.
The irresponsible waste disposal close to the drains, according to Ms. MWAMBA, is what caused the fencing to collapse.
Since then, she has issued a warning to prevent storm water drainage from being damaged.
