After falling in a muddy area while playing, a one-year-old kid passed away, and his two-year-old cousin is fighting for his life in the Mkushi District Hospital.
According to a statement sent to ZNBC News by Central Province Police Commanding Officer DAVID CHILESHE, the two youngsters were playing at their neighbors’ house at around 11:00 when they slipped into the open soakaway.
According to Mr. Chileshe, NAOMI MVULA, the home’s owner, heard noises outside and went to investigate. When she did, she discovered the two youngsters hiding in the soakaway.
He claims that although the boys were pulled from the one-meter soakaway, ABRAHAM MUTENDE was tragically proclaimed dead upon arrival at the Mkushi District Hospital, where his cousin WHITE KUMWENDA is receiving medical attention.
