The Lusaka Province Chess Association quick event was won by International Chess Master CHITUMBO MWALI and was held at NIPA.
Candidate Master GODWIN PHIRI finished third with six points, while FIDE Master NASE LUNGU finished fourth with the same number of points.
In the women’s competition, Red Arrows’ KABANDA BWALYA defeated Nkwazi’s LUBUTO BWALYA and Women Candidate Master CONSTANCE MBATHA for the victory with 6.5 points.
Chess Federation of Zambia President LESLEY CHIKUSE competed in the over 45 years category as well, however she placed fifth since FIDE Master NASE LUNGU won the category with 6.5 points.
