The Kalumbila District’s Chief MATEBO of the Kaonde-speaking people has passed away.
After a brief illness, Chief MATEBO passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 in Maina Soko Military Hospital.
Chief MATEBO the 13th’s passing has been officially announced by Matebo Royal Establishment Secretary ADONA KYEMBE in a statement provided to ZNBC News.
According to Mr. KYEMBE, the Chief will be buried at the Matebo Royal Cemetery in Kalumbila on January 3, 2023.
On August 1, 2016, Chief MATEBO, whose true name is EVANS NYELETI, took the throne.
