According to energy expert JOHNSTONE CHIKWANDA, the low-income members of society now pay less for electricity according to Zesco’s planned modification to electricity tariffs.
According to Dr. CHIKWANDA, those who use fewer than 200 units have received a reduction of 40 ngwee, while those who use the fewest units will receive a reduction of seven ngwee.
Dr. Chikwanda claimed there is a lot of false information about the proposed tariff adjustment since many people only pay attention to the upward adjustment when he appeared on ZNBC TV1’s 13:00 hrs news.
He claims that Zesco has divided home consumers into four groups, each with its own set of rates.
