The Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for community projects in nine wards totaling over 13 million Kwacha have been released by the Chililabombwe Municipal Council.
The funds will be applied to planned initiatives like building roads and bridges.
Additionally, awards totaling 1.4 million Kwacha have been awarded to more than 70 cooperatives, women’s groups, and youth organizations in the district.
At a gathering organized in the Chililabombwe area, Chililabombwe Member of Parliament PAUL KABUSWE presented the winning grant applicants and the ward development committee with checks.
Mr. KABUSWE urged the awardees to invest the funds in community-enhancing initiatives.
Additionally, PRECIOUS NJEKWA, the district commissioner for Chililabombwe, thanked the government for empowering women and youth.
