The Men’s Senior Football National Team has been urged by the government to win both of its AFCON qualifying games against Lesotho.
KANGWA CHILESHE, the permanent secretary of Youth Sports and Art, advises the team to make sure they win rather than taking the games for granted.
CHILESHE claims that there are high expectations for the team because Zambians are determined to make it to the AFCON at all means.
According to him, the players are prepared and in good shape to play Lesotho in the opening leg of the match on Thursday.
In an interview with ZNBC SPORTS News, CHILESHE said that the club should maintain its focus and start their campaign on a new front.
He added that the Ministry will make sure that the team receives all bonuses promised in accordance with the agreement.
He was unable to say how much will be provided to the team for both games, though.
