Permanent Secretary for Local Government and Rural Development MAAMBO HAAMAUDU has issued a warning that the Ministry will not hold back in disciplining council members who put off the execution of Constituency Development Fund-CDF projects.
According to Mr. HAAMAUDU, the government has given all the monies, and it is now up to the officers in charge of ensuring that CDF projects are implemented smoothly.
He has issued a warning that personnel who intentionally put off implementing CDF projects out of ineptitude run the danger of being sacked.
After touring the Bwacha clinic and Kabwe General Hospital’s maternity section and mothers’ shelter under construction, Mr. HAAMAUDU spoke.
The administration-tasked Permanent Secretary questioned why the two projects’ construction has been delayed despite finances being available.
