In May 2023, a group of Czech medical professionals will travel to Mongu in Western Province to offer specialist medical care.
The squad will employ an air ambulance while they are in Mongu from May 1 through May 12, 2023.
This was revealed by PAVEL PROCHZKA, the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Zambia, to SYLVIA MASEBO during a visit to her office in Lusaka today.
Another delegation of medical professionals, according to Mr. PROCHZKA, is anticipated to visit the University Teaching Hospitals in Lusaka in September 2023.
And SYLVIA MASEBO, the minister of health, expressed her happiness that the commitments she made during her visit to the Czech Republic last year are coming to pass.
Western Province has lagged behind in terms of health services, according to Ms. MASEBO, so the planned trip by the Czech medical team to Mongu is greatly appreciated.
The Women and Newborn Hospital in Lusaka will receive a delivery unit and an ambulance thanks to a donation made by the Czech delegation.
