Police have revealed that the woman who was discovered yesterday near the Freedom Statue tied herself before concealing the keys in her pant.
Observing the Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) at the Command Center, police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale stated Dorcas Nachibona was seen placing a sign at the Freedom Statue, chaining herself, and concealing the keys in her pant.
He claimed that while she was seated, he saw Dorcas sipping from what seemed to be an alcoholic beverage bottle.
“She has been charged with the offence of Idle and Disorderly contrary to Section 178 (f ) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia,” he said.
Mr Mwale said Dorcas remains in Police custody awaiting court appearance.
