JOHN KASANGA, Registrar-Internal Medicine at Livingstone University Teaching Hospital, has issued a warning that excessive energy drink intake can result in major heart problems.
According to Dr. KASANGA, chronic usage of energy drinks might result in heart issues as well as other health issues like anxiety and heart palpitations.
He has recommended people to stop drinking energy drinks right away if they start to develop heart palpitations in order to prevent serious heart diseases.
Dr. KASANGA added that it’s crucial to relax when you need to, as opposed to using energy drinks to stay active longer.
