Earthquake In Turkey: Evacuation Of Three More Zambians

204

Following the earthquake that struck South-Eastern Turkey and part of Syria last week, the government has relocated three additional students from Kayseri City to Ankara.

STANLEY KAKUBO, the minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, claims that now there are nine students who have been evacuated to Ankara.

The six Zambian students from Dicle University in Diyarbakir, southeast Turkey, who were in distress when their residence fell during the earthquake were evacuated by the Embassy last week.

According to Mr. KAKUBO, the Zambian Mission has kept in touch with the Zambian community via the channels at its disposal to make sure that any Zambian in need is helped.
