The Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) is certain that the Kwacha will keep rising since more economic activity is expected in the second quarter of this year.
However, according to EAZ National Secretary GIBSON MASUMBU, this year has seen a slowdown in the nation’s economic activity.
In an interview with ZNBC on the eve of the EAZ Annual General Meeting, Mr. MASUMBU claimed that recent pressure on the Kwacha has had a detrimental effect on the economy.
He has also voiced faith in the nation’s ability to restructure its debt in the second quarter, which will aid in achieving a number of key economic fundamentals.
