President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has demanded that material encouraging young people to work independently by engaging in entrepreneurship be included in the school curriculum.
The school system, according to President HICHILEMA, should further encourage students to develop business partnerships and not just focus on finding employment.
He claims that in order for young people to grasp the importance of making sensible investment decisions, the government is working to guarantee that financial literacy is introduced to them at a young age.
When the Head of State met Vice Chancellor RICHARD WILLIAMS of Heriot-Watt University at State House, he stated this.
Professor WILLIAMS stated the university is creating new capital principles to re-engineer into sustainable capitalism that recognizes, among other things, the impact of long-term investments on the nation.
Professor WILLIAMS also expressed gratitude to the Zambian people for their long-standing support of the university with its home base in the UK.
Since the university was founded in 1821, he claimed, more than 1000 Zambian students have received training there.
