According to the Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF), the government ought to set up manufacturing ports all around the nation.
The decision, according to ZCF Director General JAMES CHIRWA, will enable cooperatives to access the 10 billion dollars in funding that the African Development Bank has set out for the food industry.
According to Mr. CHIRWA, ZCF plans to improve cooperatives’ capacity to produce finished goods.
In order for Zambia to become a center for the export of food around the world, he told ZNBC News that the government should determine what crops each region can grow.
