Health professionals are looking into the reported cases of diarrhea in Garden compound, according to CONSITY MWALE, director of health for Lusaka Province.
However, according to Dr. MWALE, tests on the reported cases have ruled out a typhoid outbreak.
He clarified that the Ministry of Health has not yet determined what is causing some of the youngsters in Garden complex to have diarrhea and high fevers.
According to Dr. MWALE, 33 suspected instances of typhoid have been reported since January but have all been negative upon testing.
While this is happening, a team of environmental health specialists is on the scene looking into the cases of diarrhea and high fever, according to Ngwerere ward Councillor ADRIAN BANDA.
