Whether a local or international coach is chosen, the Football Association of Zambia’s (FAZ) ANDREW KAMANGA claims there would be substantial local presence on the Chipolopolo technical bench.
KAMANGA points out that a number of local coaches are already in charge of various national teams, which is a sign of faith in the local human resource.
In an effort to put local coaches in the center of football activity, he claims that FAZ has also given the Zambia Football Coaches Association (ZAFCA) space at the FAZ Headquarters.
KAMANGA continues by stating that this is a method of coordinating the two Associations’ work rather than only an offer of office space.
At the ZAFCA General Meeting in Lusaka, FAZ Deputy General Secretary JOSEPH CHIMPAMPWE read him a speech that contained this.
ZAFCA President DANIEL KABWE also complimented FAZ for allowing the organization to establish membership structures and introduce practicing licenses.
According to KABWE, ZAFCA will carry out its duties in accordance with the rules of the game and will support whoever is chosen to lead the national squad.
