As part of FIFA’s worldwide tour in preparation for the Women’s World Cup matches, THE FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy has arrived in Zambia.

The enthralling tour, which is giving all 32 eligible countries the opportunity to view women’s football’s grandest prize up close for the first time, will take place from July 20 to August 20, 2023, in Australia and New Zealand. One of the 32 countries who have qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023 is Zambia.

The event to welcome the celebrated trophy was held at MultiChoice Zambia and speaking at the occasion Leah Kooma, Managing Director at MultiChoice Zambia said, “The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy tour is in many ways a great initiative for everyone who loves football. It has provided a great chance for football fans, particularly in Zambia, to be close to one of the most iconic symbols in Women’s football”.

She added, “We have the world cup right here, the girls have qualified and just this means the girls stand a chance to bring the cup back to Zambia.”

All of the FIFA Women’s World Cup matches will be broadcast live by MultiChoice on your World of Champions and SuperSport platforms on DStv and GOtv. Many World Cup fans in Zambia and the rest of the continent will be able to watch and follow their favorite game in the comfort of their own home thanks to the live broadcast of the matches.

Football fans in the participating nations have the chance to prepare for the most anticipated sporting event—the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup—by attending the trophy tour.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour’s first leg began in Morocco and then traveled to South Africa and Zambia. On March 26, the trophy will finish its African tour in Nigeria before moving on to South America.
