First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has urged women, in particular expectant mothers, to give birth in medical facilities because it is a safer alternative.
According to Mrs. HICHILEMA, all pregnant mothers must give birth in clinics and hospitals if the nation is to lower the rate of maternal mortality.
The First Lady donated blood to infants delivered during the Christmas holiday at REQUEST MUNTANGA Level One Hospital as she was speaking in Kalomo today.
In addition, President HICHILEMA, who was born, raised, and attended school in Kalomo and who also owns some farms there, gave 100 bags of 25 kilograms of mealie meal and 100 bags of beef to patients at the Request Muntanga Level One Hospital and the Kalomo Urban Clinic.
