Reuben Mtolo, the minister of agriculture, refuted claims that the government had authorized wheat importation.
Mr. MTOLO claims that the government has not provided any permits for the import of wheat.
According to the Minister, the government recently convened with a committee made up of several stakeholders to assess the availability of different commodities, including wheat.
According to him, the government would inform interested parties of any developments.
Mr. MTOLO observes that the government is dedicated to cooperating with wheat growers in a cordial way that advances the nation.
