The marooned truck situation, which has extended from Chambishi to the Kasumbulesa border on the Zambian side, is being addressed, according to the Democratic Republic of Congo’s governor for Katanga.
When Katanga Governor JAQUES KAYBULA KATWE paid a Courtesy Visit on Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO in Ndola yesterday evening, he revealed this.
He claimed that in order to expedite the timely clearance of the vehicles, border crossing hours had been synchronized with those in Zambia.
And Copperbelt Provincial Minister ELISHA MATAMBO highlighted that the issue of the marooned trucks on the Zambian border will be resolved within a week if 800 trucks are cleared per day.
