The process to amend the Higher Education Loans and Scholarship Board’s Act has begun.
This is in accordance with the Vision 2030 and the Eighth National Development Plan (-8NDP).
According to CHISELWA KAWANDA, Senior Corporate Communications Officer at HELSB, the board has received policy guidance from the government to expand access to education.
According to Ms. KAWANDA, the board decided it was necessary to change Act No. 31 of 2021 in order to comply with the goals of the incoming administration.
Soon after holding a consultation with stakeholders, she stated this in an interview with ZANIS in Kasama.
