One of the regions in Northern Province with a high malaria prevalence rate is Mungwi District.
After noting several successful cases in the regions they visited, GIFT CHIYOBEKA, Medical Director of Zambia Flying Doctors Services, claims that distant communities are the hardest hit.
According to Dr. CHIYOBEKA, swift actions must be taken to save lives.
And Mungwi District Health Director MUGALA CHIBAWA claims that the Chambishi River Valley is home to many of the malaria-affected communities.
But according to Dr. MUGALA, his administration has already started a number of awareness campaigns.
Additionally, Zambia Flying Doctors Services Chief Executive Officer GEORGE NG’UNI stated that this year, the agency plans to expand its service region.
