Due to a lack of funding, the Zambia Under 21 Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams have withdrawn from the Africa Cup competition.
National U-21 hockey team The Association failed to achieve the 1.4 million Kwacha budget, according to coach FLOYD CHOMBA, hence the teams would not visit Egypt.
The 2023 Hockey U-21 Africa Cup is scheduled to take place in Egypt from March 12 to the 19th and is a World Cup qualification.
After putting in a lot of effort in training, CHOMBA told ZNBC Sports News that it is regrettable that the team would not travel.
