The 2023 International Sunshine Golf Tour has received a $200,000 sponsorship boost from ZANACO.
According to Chairman of the ZANACO Masters organizing committee ROY PENNEY, this year’s champions would receive more money in prize money.
144 golfers are anticipated to compete, with 30 spots set aside for Zambians, according to PENNEY.
He announced in a statement shortly after receiving the ZANACO check that the committee had started a golf development program.
The Lusaka Golf Club is undergoing renovations, according to PENNEY, and should be ready to host the competition in May of next year.
The head of ZANACO’s marketing and communications, CHANDA KATONGO, stated that the bank is adhering to its pledge to support national sports.
KATONGO stated that it anticipates witnessing a Zambian win the competition for the first time.
