A 33-year-old Chibombo man tragically perished in a dam while trying to catch fish while intoxicated.

“He had gone fishing in a drunken state and so his workmates got concerned. After about two hours of him not getting back, they reported reported to the police. The body was found floating in the dam, was retrieved and upon physical inspection, no physical injuries were noted. The body of the deceased is lying in Liteta Hospital awaiting postmortem.The family and the police do not suspect foul any play however, investigations into the death have been launched,” he said.
