Kalulushi district should lead the way in creating school tables because it is a significant producer of lumber, according to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
According to President HICHILEMA, funds are available for the purchase of desks, therefore participants should seize the chance.
This afternoon, President HICHILEMA spoke to Kalulushi residents at Buyantanshi Primary School. He said that the administration has already implemented the free education policy and is currently working to see that student desks are acquired.
The Head of State further informed the crowd that he has instructed the Minister of the Green Economy, COLLINS NZOVU, to hold talks with the saw millers and ZAFFICO to resolve their blockade.
In addition, President HICHILEMA said that he has been discussing the problems with ZAFFICO ever since he was in opposition and that he is currently working on them.
The President also mentioned that this year, thousands of young people will be hired in the defense and security wings, in addition to the thousands who are already engaged in the health and education sectors.
He suggested that young people who are not planning to attend college contact their civic leaders so they can take advantage of subsidies provided by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at centers for skill development.
And KELLY JIBINGA, the district commissioner for Kalulushi, bemoaned the high rates of unemployment in the area, which were significantly exacerbated by ZAFFICO’s decision to put the Chambishi metals mine on care and maintenance and by the high price of lumber.
