Kim Kardashian is ready for fall — hair colors, that is. The 43-year-old reality star and entrepreneur swapped her signature dark locks for a rich red shade that’s bound to ignite seasonal sentiments. In a video shared to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Aug. 28, Kardashian showed off her new color, the long straight style pushed back behind her shoulders.

The look is presumably a wig, given that her the next slide showed the star back to her usual brunette shade. Kardashian also tagged her skincare line SKKN, suggesting that the transformation was for a brand shoot. Though short-lived, the dramatic style is enough to inspire the next red hair trend wave.

Last summer, the eye-catching color was a favorite among celebs, thanks in part to the 2023 live-action remake of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey. Stars like Chrissy Teigen, Emily Ratajkowski and Megan Fox embraced the coppery hue, proving that there are endless ways to interpret the trend.

It appears the trend is alive and well in 2024 and is sure to ramp up as fall approaches. In May, Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian ditched her usual blonde for a strawberry red shade.
