The Western province’s 2023 Kuomboka Ceremony has been canceled by the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE).
The death of Senior Chieftainess MBOANJIKANA of Libonda royal village and low water levels, according to BRE Ngambela MUKELA MANYANDO, have been blamed for the ceremony’s cancellation.
According to Mr. MANYANDO, the BRE regrets the discontinuation of the yearly event, which also draws tourists from the region and outside.
