The National Council for Construction (NCC) is concerned about local contractors who were hired by the Football Association of Zambia not upholding their contractual responsibilities.
According to NCC Executive Director ERNEST NSHINDANO, certain local contractors hired by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to renovate stadiums as part of the FIFA-funded project have broken their agreements.
According to Mr. NSHINDANO, FIFA recommended hiring a South African contractor to work on the pitch while local contractors were hired to renovate the terraces and restroom buildings.
All parties had agreed that the project should have been finished by the end of November, but according to him, nothing had been done.
