The rate of HIV transmission among teenagers in the city is remains very high, according to CONSITY MWALE, director of health for Lusaka Province.
According to Dr. MWALE, the Ministry of Health has increased its interactions with youth in an effort to lower the high infection rates.
He made this statement at the Lusaka Province Health Indaba, which several young people from Lusaka were there for.
And according to Robert Kamalata, the permanent secretary of the province of Lusaka, illegal activities at boarding houses are one of the causes of the rising HIV infection rate.
However, Mr. KAMALATA claims that the administration is dedicated to enhancing youth health, and he has urged them to speak up on how to address the issue of new HIV infections.
