Lynn Forbes celebrated her son, slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA’s 36th birthday by visiting his grave, and she shared a birthday tribute on Instagram on Sunday 28 January. Sunday 28 January marked slain rapper AKA’s 36th birthday. This was the first birthday his family had to celebrate without him. The rapper passed away just two weeks after his 35th birthday in 2023. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February 2023.
Lynn Forbes, his mom took to Instagram to share a video of the candles she lit beside a photo of herself with her son. Take a look

What an incredible blessing you are and always will be 88~♾️ 💜,” she wrote.Lynn, along with her ex-husband Tony Forbes, AKA’s daughter Kairo Forbes and his girlfriend at the time of his death, rapper Nadia Nakai, visited his grave on his birthday. AKA shared Kairo Forbes with DJ Zinhle. The grieving family sang happy birthday to the Fela in Versace hitmaker. Nadia and Kairo lifted 36 white helium balloons in honour of the rappers birthday.
