Popular radio DJ Mark Pilgrim has posted a picture of himself receiving further treatment for his stage 4 cancer after popping the question to partner Adrienne Watkins on New Year’s Eve. The radio personality, who got engaged to Watkins on 31 December 2022, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in June 2022.
He was released from hospital on 29 December 2022 after a 64-day stay – as reported by The South African website.
The father of two, who’s been documenting his health journey on social media, uploaded a picture of himself in a wheelchair on Thursday, 5 January and captioned the image. Pilgrim will be walking the aisle for the second time with Watkins who has been with him since the beginning of his illness.
The radio star divorced his wife Nicole Torres in 2020 after 13 years of marriage. The couple have two daughters, Tayla-Jean and Alyssa, together.
