Chieftainess Mboanjikana Kandundu, senior Yeta Lewanika of the Libonda royal village in the western province’s Kalabo and Sikongo districts has passed away.
The traditional chieftain passed away in the early hours of Saturday, February 25, 2023, according to Ngambela MUKELA MANYANDO of the Barotse Royal institution, who spoke at a press conference today in Limulunga’s Kuta.
The senior Chieftainess, who ruled for 27 years, was skilled in managing her traditional duties, according to the Ngambela.
He claimed that the traditional structure had a significant gap as a result of her departure.
The BRE will later announce the traditional leader’s funeral date.
