The Luapula province’s Mwata KAZEMBE has urged the government to make sure Mobile hospitals are properly utilized.

The traditional chief laments the fact that individuals in remote locations are not receiving medical care because medical equipment is sitting around collecting dust.

While he was speaking, GEORGE NG’UNI, Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Flying Doctor Service, paid him a visit at his palace in Mwansabombwe.

Dr. NG’UNI added that the organization has already begun pressuring the Ministry of Health to turn over the Mobile Hospitals to Zambia Flying Doctor.

If turned over to the flying doctors, he claimed, the mobile hospitals, which are comparable to level two hospitals, will help improve their ability to provide medical care.
