To assist slow the rise in incidents of newborn and maternal death in the nation, Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO has urged mothers to make sure that they give birth in medical facilities.
At the Chongwe District Hospital, she said this as she presented five women with Christmas baby baskets.
According to Ms. MASEBO, the government is making every effort to guarantee that all healthcare institutions have qualified medical personnel on hand to assist expectant moms.
The Minister was pleased to learn that local mothers had traveled to the hospital to give birth.
